OneSixOne has an opportunity for a full-time professional to lead a large team across 4 bars within our busy late-night venue.

For over 26 years, One Six One has been a cornerstone of Melbourne’s nightlife. We’re more than just a nightclub — we’re three levels, four bars, a rooftop, a world-class sound system, and that famous light-up dancefloor. Since 1999, we’ve stayed under the same ownership, and many of our managers have been with us for 15+ years — proof that this is a place where people love to stay, grow, and be part of something bigger.

The Gig

We’re on the hunt for a full-time Bars Manager to bring personality, creativity, and drive to our bar operations. This is a 38-hour salary-based role, covering both bar shifts and admin, across a roster that mixes opening and closing shifts.

This isn’t a role for someone looking to blend into the background. We want someone who’s passionate about bars, thrives on the pace of nightlife, and is ready to lead with energy and individuality.

What You’ll Do

- Lead, inspire, and grow a large bar team in a busy nightclub environment.
- Bring fresh ideas to cocktail menus, specials, and stock choices.
- Keep the bars sharp: clean, efficient, and on-brand.
- Balance creativity with cost control, stock management, and POS systems.
- Jump in when things go sideways — solve problems fast, keep the night moving.
- Work closely with management, DJs, security, and promoters to keep the venue buzzing.
- Maintain compliance with RSA, licensing, and OH&S.

What We’re Looking For

- At least 2 years’ management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume venue.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar culture.
- Computer savvy with good business sense and cost-control skills.
- A hands-on leader with strong communication and people skills.
- Someone who thrives under pressure and can think on their feet.
- A minimum commitment of 2 years.
- Current Victorian RSA Certificate.
- Citizens or permanent residents only.
