The Client:

My client is a hugely successful, Melbourne based Fund Manager with some of the best performing funds in Australia. They have grown rapidly over the last ten years and have an extremely low turnover due to the effort that they put into ensuring that all staff feel empowered and are treated fairly and with respect.

The Investment Accountant position is a newly created role. Working in partnership with the Senior Fund Accountant you will manage the end-to-end investment accounting for the company's top performing property funds.

The Role:

• Review of internally prepared property level accounts.
• Preparation and review of financial statements and fund reporting.
• Preparation/review of distribution, BAS and tax returns.
• Oversight of unit pricing/NAV calculations.
• Maintenance of assets register and depreciation schedules.
• Calculation of fund level expenses, management fees and performance fees.

The Candidate:

• 2+ years experience in fund, investment or property accounting within financial services.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• The confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
