About Mile End

Since opening in Fitzroy in 2016, Mile End Bagels has grown to four stores across Melbourne, with more on the horizon. We’re the first (and still the only) in Australia to serve authentic Montreal-style wood-fired bagels. Hand-rolled, honey-boiled, and baked in our wood-fired oven, it’s a craft, and our customers line up for it.

Our philosophy is simple: go the extra mile for every customer. That starts with our people and that’s where you come in.

The Role

As a Shift Leader / Supervisor, you’ll run the shift, keep standards high, and lead by example. You’ll:

Motivate and support the team during busy shifts.

Keep service smooth and customers happy.

Handle opens/closes, cashing up, and stock checks.

Train and guide new team members.

Solve problems, stay calm under pressure, and bring good energy every day.

About You

You’re a natural leader with hospo in your blood. You:

Have experience running shifts in hospitality.

Love fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Lead with positivity and accountability.

Care about people, both customers and your team.

Are reliable, organised, and ready to step up.
