About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on, confident and reliable person to join our team in a Production Team Leader position at our Commercial laundry in Footscray, Melbourne.
The Production Team Leader is responsible to provide team leadership to a group of production workers who make up the heart of our business; key in delivering to our customer's expectations. The Production team works hard to meet efficiency standards that ensure we are able to deliver our customer orders on time and in full each and every day.
The day-to-day responsibilities of Production Team Leader include:
Allocate work to team members to meet the requirements of the production schedule
Monitor product quality and take action as required
Ensure safety requirements are adhered to
Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to
Liaise with other Team Leaders to ensure daily schedules are met
To be successful as a Production Team Leader, you'll need the following key skills and experience:
Ability to lead a team to meet the requirements of the production schedule
Able to stand for long periods
Reasonable level of personal fitness to meet the demands of the job
Experience in a Production environment
Experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor is desired but not required
People management and mentoring skills
While previous commercial/industrial laundry experience will be highly regarded, it is not essential for this role. You may have previously worked as a process worker, pick/packer or in a hospital/hospitality environment that involved cleaning or laundry duties.
