Mobile Screening Pty Ltd

About the role
Mobile Screening is seeking an experienced and proactive Manager to take ownership of our Audiometric Screening Division — overseeing staff, operations, and client service delivery. This is a 12-month fixed term role, with potential to extend or transition to ongoing.
While a background in hearing tests would be advantageous, it is not essential. What matters most are strong people management and operational skills - the ability to support staff, resolve issues quickly, and keep services running smoothly. Candidates with experience in audiometry, allied health, nursing, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, health science, occupational health and safety, or related service industries are encouraged to apply.
The immediate priority of this role is providing day-to-day operational support, ensuring our team is well-coordinated, equipped, and delivering consistently high-quality services. At the same time, we are looking for someone who can grow into a true leadership role, shaping the division and driving service excellence.
Flexibility, Support and Progression
This role will suit someone seeking part-time work now but wanting the chance to step into a larger leadership position over time. You’ll commence at 0.4 FTE (~16 hours per week), with the opportunity to develop into 0.6, 0.8 or even full-time (if desired) as additional responsibilities are gradually transferred and assumed.
To succeed, you'll need the flexibility to be available for 3–4 hours at least four days per week, providing timely support to staff and clients.
Our head office is based in Shoreham, Victoria, however this role can be undertaken from any location within Australia.
You won't be stepping into this role alone - you'll be fully supported and mentored by the Group Manager, Service Quality and Delivery as you grow into the position. You'll also be joining a dedicated and friendly team of divisional managers located across Australia, who work collaboratively to ensure our services run smoothly and our staff feel connected and supported no matter where they are based.
What you'll be doing in the beginning
Supervising and supporting our audiometric technicians located across Australia
Acting as the first point of contact for roster changes, illness, and day-to-day operational queries
Liaising with clients and coordinating reschedules in partnership with our central booking team
Reviewing staff diaries to confirm accuracy of times, zones, and contact details
Conducting weekly check-ins with staff and leading a monthly online team meeting
Overseeing the servicing, calibration, and allocation of equipment
What we'd like to add to this role in time
Managing quality standards across audiometric procedures and reporting
Developing team capability, identifying training needs and mentoring staff
Supporting the recruitment and on boarding of new staff
Building client relationships and representing Mobile Screening in meetings or presentations
What we're looking for
Experience: 3–5 years in audiometric screening or a related field such as WHS/OHS, allied health, health science, or environmental health
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in audiometry, nursing, allied health, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, health science, WHS/OHS, or environmental health
Strong people management and team leadership skills
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Ability to coordinate multiple activities and deliver to a high standard
Attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping
Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider business
Our cultural expectations
At Mobile Screening, we place a strong emphasis on the way we work together. For this role, we’re looking for someone who will:
Involve team members in decision-making
Empower staff to contribute and succeed
Listen openly to feedback
Lead by example in day-to-day actions
Be honest, sincere, and respectful in all interactions
