The Mind Body Medicine Group (www.mbmg.com.au) is looking for a mature and experience practice manager to join our happy and cohesive team in a lovely facility.

hours/days : (approximately 24.5 hours per week)
Tuesday/Wednesday - 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (30-minute lunch break)

Friday – 8.30 am to 1.30 pm

Monday and Thursday (check phone messages for an hour each day, can be done from home)

$39.60/hr (negotiable)

All-day parking nearby (approx. 500 metres from practice)

Working for a Specialist Paediatrician who mostly deals with patients who suffer from ADHD, Autism and Anxiety and patients with Gut issues (IBS) and complex mental health issues.

A psychologist also works from the practice each Wednesday.

The current PM is retiring (finishing in December 2025). Ideally, seeking the new PM to commence in November for a month-long handover.

The practice closes over the Christmas period and does not operate during school holidays, so taking leave during school holidays is preferred. Occasional manning of the phone over this period may be required at times.

Duties:

Open duties – checking phone messages and action them, lights, heater/cooler, blinds, etc. Running of consulting sessions.

Managing 2 part-time admin staff members.

Processing accounts – HICAPS and Medicare.

Accepting and receipting payments.

Order practice/office supplies (consulting with principal).

Ensure all patients have current referrals.

Scheduling patients' consult appointments.

Typing of patient letters (AI may be an option in the future).

Use of CorePlus and Clinic to Cloud.

End-of-day balancing.

Being able to demonstrate empathy and kindness to patients and their families when in distress (as issues of long waiting time and complex mental health issues)

Essential Criteria:

Experienced Practice Manager (Previous experience in a similar role highly desirable).

Mature outlook.

Enjoy working with children and families.

Clear communicator.

Familiar with Medicare item numbers for Medical specialists and Psychologists

Caring and empathetic nature.

Understand and adhere to patient confidentiality.

Fast and accurate audiotyping skill.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Computer literacy – ideally in the use of CorePlus and Clinic to Cloud.
