About Us

Central Victoria Dermatology and Specialist Centre is a new dermatology practice opening in October 2025. We are located in the heart of Bendigo’s CBD, conveniently located at 49 Creek Street South. The Centre will be home to multiple experienced Dermatologists and will provide medical and aesthetic treatments for patients with a wide range of skin conditions, delivered by a team of expert practitioners and administrators.

The Role

We are seeking applications for the role of Practice Manager, who will be responsible for the overall management of our practice’s employees and operations, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to our patients and supporting our independent practitioners to deliver expert care. You will be working closely with the Director, Dr Ane Niwa, to guide the practice’s growth and success through start-up and ongoing.

This is a permanent part-time role (0.8FTE/30 hours a week).

Key areas of responsibility:

· Practice Management: coordinate and manage all aspects of the Practice’s operations, including practice employees, marketing, IT, and WHS obligations, in coordination with third-party advisors where necessary. Maintain a safe workplace environment, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Manage patient and employee feedback as required, working with the Director to ensure the quick and effective resolution of any concerns.

· Team Leadership: promote and embody a caring, collaborative, and innovative team culture; coach, mentor, and manage the practice’s employees, providing support and guidance allowing them to excel.

· Patient Service: lead and support the administrative team to facilitate patient care effectively and efficiently according to defined standards of service and operation, maximising the practice’s use of Gentu and other softwares in its service delivery.
Assist in the operation of the practice’s phototherapy booth as required.

· Billing Management: utilise strong financial management skills to coordinate the efficient receipt of payments from patients, independent practitioners, third-party payers and others as required, minimising the practice’s debtors.

· Schedule & Appointment Management: lead the practice’s administrative team to maintain the practice’s appointment schedule, in accordance with each provider’s preferences and availability, through proactive planning and decision-making.

· Systems & Process Management: utilise our practice management system and software environment in coordination with the IT provider to maintain a seamless and communicative experience for all stakeholders. Proactively identify, plan, and act on opportunities to improve efficiency and service outcomes. Track and report on practice activity and financial outcomes to the Director, providing feedback and context to enable effective decision making.

· Demonstrating care and empathy towards patients and all members of the practice, in all activities and interactions. Act in accordance with the practice’s shared values and mission at all times.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and management professional, with demonstrated capabilities in planning, coordinating, and achieving key business outcomes both independently and within a team. You will be experienced and confident in using Gentu, Outlook, and the Office 365 suite.

The successful candidate will work across a broad range of both business management and operational responsibilities; as we’re a new practice, you’ll need to be comfortable and confident with stepping into an administrative, operational role as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

· Proven experience in a management and/or leadership role in healthcare administration (experience working in a private specialist practice is highly desired).

· Relevant qualifications (e.g. in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications) highly desired.
