Job Title: Head / Sous Chef - (Someone looking to step up!)
Location: St Helens, East Coast of Tasmania
Job Type: Full-time
The Wharf Bar and Kitchen is a small, family-run seafood restaurant nestled on the stunning East Coast of Tasmania. We are passionate about showcasing the best our region has to offer, sourcing the freshest local seafood and produce to create innovative and delicious coastal-inspired dishes.
Owned and operated by Stanley and Isabella, a young couple in our thirties, we took over The Wharf three years ago with a vision to create a vibrant dining destination that balances quality, creativity, and a relaxed coastal vibe. More than just a restaurant, we want The Wharf to feel like a warm hug, the kind of place where, from the moment you walk through the door, you feel like a welcome guest in our home.
We are now looking for the right Chef to join us, someone who can help lead our kitchen and elevate our restaurant to the next level, while sharing in our passion for food, hospitality, and Tasmania’s incredible East Coast produce. Above all, we’re seeking a chef who is genuinely passionate, creative, and collaborative. At The Wharf, we value a positive and supportive environment, we’re not looking for a grumpy, shouty kitchen culture. Instead, we want a leader who inspires their team, brings joy to the craft of cooking and can handle the fast paced environment.
