St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of over 2000 boys from Years 5-12.

Applications are invited for the position of Administration Assistant to join the Music Department of our large College. This is a full-time position on contract for 7 months, commencing, Monday 3 November 2025 or as negotiated with the successful candidate in line with notice requirements.

The role of the Administration Assistant - Music is to provide administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Head of Instrumental Music and the Assistant Head of Faculty (Music) as well as the day-to-day operations of the Music Department.

Hours of work are 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday however applicants must be flexible for working outside of normal hours.

A copy of the Position Description and the full Selection Criteria is located on the College Website, however applicants must have:

At least 3-4 years’ experience in a personal assistant or senior administration role, preferably within a school environment;

Musical knowledge, would be an advantage;

A formal qualification eg Certificate III in Business Administration would be looked at favourably;

A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to attend this training); and

A current Paid Blue Card (or be eligible to apply).
