HOBAN Recruitment are seeking a Quality Manger to join a highly reputable transport and logistics company based in Eastern Creek, NSW. Our client is a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, provided comprehensive transport and logistics services across air, land, and ocean.
Length of Assignment: 3-6 months (possibility of extension)
Payrate: $60-65ph + super
Job Description:
The Quality Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing our clients Quality Assurance System. A key part of the role is preparing for and overseeing both internal and external audits (including ISO 9001 certification) while driving continuous improvement across processes and operations
Quality Assurance System Management
- Maintain and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and internal policies.
Audits
- Prepare for and manage all external ISO 9001 audits (including surveillance and tri-annual certification audits).
- Schedule and oversee internal audits, ensuring findings are actioned within set timelines.
Reporting & Compliance
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the QMS to senior management.
- Action Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs) promptly.
- Deliver weekly reports on NCRs and customer complaints.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse data related to rework, rejects, and quality issues to identify trends and opportunities.
- Monitor compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend targeted improvements across business operations.
About You:
- Proven experience in a senior quality or compliance role, ideally within a logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and certification processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead internal audits and manage external audit preparation.
- Analytical mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
