The Goods:
Base salary: $91,587.60 + Super (pro-rata)
Hourly rate: $46.35/hour with potential to progress beyond $92k.
High likelihood of contract extension to December 2025, and beyond.

The Story:
At Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation (NBAC), we are dedicated to making a difference in the community, particularly for vulnerable youth. We are currently seeking a Community Program Coordinator for the Bindirri Garlba program, which focuses on empowering youth and fostering community development in Roebourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the program, which includes developing a community garden and supporting local youth in meaningful ways.
This is a great opportunity to take on a leadership role within a respected Aboriginal Corporation in the Pilbara region, contributing to both community development and youth empowerment.
The Role:
The Community Program Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Bindirri Garlba program. You’ll work closely with local stakeholders, including the Steering Committee, NBAC, the Education Department, and the 5 Mile Community, to ensure the program meets its objectives and delivers positive outcomes. Key aspects of the role include:
Program Planning & Implementation: Design and implement activities to achieve program objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as the main point of contact for the program.
Youth Engagement: Work closely with vulnerable youth, ensuring they feel supported and engaged in the program.
Community Garden Development: Oversee the creation and ongoing management of the community garden.
Program Evaluation: Monitor and report on the program’s success, identifying areas for improvement.
Budget & Risk Management: Ensure the program operates within budget, tracking all expenditures and managing any associated risks.
The Skills:
Proven experience in community program coordination, especially with youth-focused programs ideal.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Experience in developing and maintaining community-based projects (e.g., a community garden).
A strong commitment to safeguarding vulnerable youth and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Budget management experience and proficiency in tracking program expenses.
Working with Children Check (mandatory).
