The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Full-time Program Coordinator to join our growing team in Bunbury, Western Australia. This role is responsible for leading school-based and community-based programs that support young people to reach their full potential across the Southwest.
The Program Coordinator will mentor and guide a small regional team and report to the Team Leader – Southwest. The role is based at our Bunbury office, with an expectation to attend the office twice weekly.
The role offers the unique opportunity to travel throughout the Southwest region, visit Perth Metro as required, and occasionally work further afield across Western Australia. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver identified programs and community events
Lead and support a small team of casual and volunteer staff.
Maintain accurate records of participation, engagement, and impact
Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, service providers, local stakeholders, sporting clubs, police, and community leaders
Promote SMF programs and events across the targeted regions.
Assist with the development of funding proposals including Government grants, sponsorships, and private donations.
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in leading and in-direct managing staff
Experience working with and/or within Aboriginal communities.
Experience working with at-risk and disengaged youth.
Strong facilitation, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience delivering sport-based clinics, mentoring, or training sessions
Budget management and basic grant acquittal knowledge
Valid WA Driver's Licence.
Current Working with Children Check.
National Police Clearance.
Availability to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends as needed.
Desirable Experience
Tertiary qualification in Education, Mental Health, or related fields.
Experience in the education system.
Experience working with youth with disabilities.
Youth worker or counsellor experience.
Current coaching or officiating accreditation.
Current manual (C class) or automatic (C-A class) options
Knowledge and experience working in WA’s sporting industry.
