Great Southern Legal Community Services (GSCLS) is seeking a self-motivated and proactive, part time Community Educator to lead a targeted Road Safety Awareness Campaign across the Great Southern region.
This fixed-term contract role is based in Albany and involves working across the region to connect with locals, share important information, and promote safer driving habits.

Your package will include:
Fixed-term contract (6–8 months)
Flexible, part-time hours (3-4 days per week)
$50–$55 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
This new exciting new role is ideal for someone who loves talking with people from all walks of life, is great at running small projects, and is passionate about positive community impact, with a focus on making WA roads safer.
Key duties will include:
Deliver clear, engaging information about changes to speed camera use and road safety in WA.
Host tailored community information sessions and pop-ups for a wide range of audiences.
Create simple, accessible resources that suit local needs and communication styles.
Build strong connections with local community groups, councils, and service providers.
Represent the organisation at events and community forums.
Keep track of your outreach and help with project evaluation and reporting.
What You’ll Have
We’re looking for someone who is:
A strong communicator - confident, relatable, and great at engaging with all sorts of people.
Experienced in community engagement, education, outreach, or health promotion.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage small projects independently.
Proactive, adaptable, and solution focused.
Familiar with the challenges and strengths of regional and rural communities.
Comfortable travelling throughout the Great Southern region (essential).
A current WA driver’s license, National Police Clearance, and Working With Children Check will be required for this role.
Bonus points if you also have:
Experience working with culturally and/or linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
Knowledge of road safety campaigns or public safety initiatives.
Skills in creating user-friendly, inclusive education materials.
