The Opportunity

Our client is a growing financial services business with a collaborative finance team and a supportive culture. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to provide transactional and operational accounting support across a multi-entity environment. This role offers strong development opportunities and exposure to a dynamic business at a key stage of growth.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations and journals
• Support accounts payable processing and ensure accuracy of allocations
• Assist with month-end close and reporting processes
• Maintain integrity of general ledger data and reconciliations
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to finance and operations teams
• Contribute to process improvements to streamline workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and operations to ensure compliance and accuracy

The Expertise

• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role covering reconciliations, journals and AP
• Progress towards CA/CPA qualification desirable but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of transactional processes
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite highly regarded
• Proactive, collaborative style with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills and eagerness to learn and develop
