Join Collarts as our IT Support Administrator and be at the heart of a vibrant, creative community! In this hands-on, campus-based role, you’ll be the go-to person for Level One IT support, helping staff and students get the most out of our applications, hardware, and tech systems. You’ll play a key part in enhancing the learning experience and supporting our team’s success across multiple campuses. If you thrive on variety, enjoy building relationships, and want to make a real impact in a collaborative, energetic environment, this is your opportunity to shine!

Based at our vibrant Wellington Street campus (with visits to our other locations), you’ll enjoy variety, visibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact across our organisation.

About us:

Collarts (and its predecessor Ausmusic) began more than 30 years ago with three programs, a handful of students and a small team of dedicated lecturers. Our foundation disciplines were music and audio – a proudly rock and roll start to life.

Operating as Collarts from 2010, today we teach more than 2,000 students from over 30 countries in 4 campuses and 50 high schools. We offer 24 degree programs, 5 vocational certificates and we’re ranked #1 for QILT student engagement for creative industry providers in Australia. We welcome international students from more than 30 countries and host exchange students from China, Germany, France and the USA.

We have some of the brightest minds in industry across all disciplines: ARIA award winners, renowned playwrights, actors and comedians, leading film and screen directors, DOLBY Atmos practitioners, recognised music producers and sound engineers, design and animation award winners, and some of the most experienced and respected event and entertainment academics in Australia.

In 2024 we launched a new Strategic Plan, Creativity on Purpose, with goals focused on reach, engagement, sustainability and quality. The plan represents an inflection point for Collarts, as we find new audiences, launch new online and postgraduate products and work towards University College status. It’s the perfect time to join the team: welcome to Australia’s best creative education community.

The role:

As the IT Support Administrator at Collarts, you’ll be the friendly face of IT support—collaborating closely with faculty, students, and administrative staff to gather feedback and continually improve our support processes. Your customer-first approach ensures staff and students receive timely, effective advice and solutions, helping them stay focused on what matters most. By providing prompt responses to IT support requests, you’ll directly enhance digital engagement and satisfaction across our campuses.

You’ll also play a key role in maintaining system efficiency, ensuring our applications and services run smoothly with minimal downtime. Most importantly, you’ll support the IT department in driving innovation, helping Collarts stay ahead of the curve with proactive solutions and continuous improvement in educational technology.
