About the Role
This position is based in Derrimut.
The role of the Administration Support Lead is to oversee and provider support and leadership to administrative services within Forensicare’s Prison Services in the context of the boundaries set by legislative requirements and organisational policies, practices, and directives.
In collaboration with Program Managers, the Administrative Support Lead ensures the effective planning and development, recruitment, selection, training and deployment of administrative resources across Prison Services, including oversight of the casual bank.
As the Administration Support Lead, You will:
- Provide leadership and support to the administration workforce across the Prison Service.
- Coordinate leave coverage across the prison administration team.
- Promote and support a work environment that is free of harassment, bullying and intimidation.
- Work with Prison Services leadership to review current internal and external reporting requirements and identify sustainable future reporting solutions.
- Conduct clinical audits pertaining to prison medical records & forms.
- Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to ensure all accreditation criteria are met for health information maintained by prison administration staff
About You:
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and supervision of staff.
- Ability to work autonomously and to deadlines whilst contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
- Previous experience with JCare, Rapid/CMI, Patient Administration Systems, Scanned or Electronic Health Records.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical data, with the ability to prepare and present reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff.

Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is the state-wide specialist provider of forensic mental health services in Victoria. Forensicare is the only agency in Victoria that provides clinical forensic mental health services which span all components of the mental health and criminal justice sectors – giving Forensicare a unique perspective on mental health and public safety issues.
