The Queensland Institute of Dermatology is looking for a Practice Coordinator to join our management team.

As a teaching institute, QIDerm provides education in medical dermatology and contributes to the development of future dermatologists in association with the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
Our medical team of 14 Dermatologist, 4 Registrars, 3 Clinical Assistants and 4 Nurses provide medical and surgical dermatology services to private, DVA and ADF patients.

About the role:
We are looking for a part-time 4 day a week Practice Coordinator to join our busy West End Dermatology clinic. We are looking for you to bring structure, business improvements, and business growth into our practice.
As a not-for-profit organisation you also have the benefit of receiving up to $18,750 of your income tax free.
In this role you will work with the CEO, Reception Coordinator, HR manager and Nurse Clinical Manager to manage and support our employees and Health Care Professionals.
Responsibilities of this well supported role include:
Overseeing Daily Operations:
Ensures smooth daily operations, including managing staff schedules, organizing duty rosters, and overseeing office opening and closing times.
Maintaining clinic diary to maximize profits and reduce cancellations.
Ensuring policies are procedures are being followed and overseeing all of the reception functions.
Staff Recruitment and Training:
The Practice Coordinator is responsible training and supervising administrative staff such as medical secretaries and receptionists.
They ensure that the team is well-prepared to handle their roles effectively.
Assist in staff reviews
Ensure Registrars are meeting accreditation standards.
Financial Management:
Managing admin rosters and inventory budgets
Patient Records and IT Systems:
Managing patient records and IT systems efficiently.
Addressing customer complaints or concerns promptly.
Compliance and Safety:
Enforcing industry and health and safety regulations.
Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
About you:
Prior experience in medical practice management or a senior receptionist ready to take the next step.
Demonstrated people management skills
Thorough understanding of medical billing e.g. Medicare, DVA, workcover etc.
Experience with Genie (advantageous)
