About the role
Clarence Valley Council is seeking a motivated and collaborative Development Planner to join our Development Services team.
This is your opportunity to positively contribute to the future of our region by assessing development applications, engaging with the community, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality planning outcomes. You’ll bring strong communication skills, a solutions-focused approach, and experience in balancing growth with sustainability.

Other important information
This position can be located at either Council's Grafton office or Council’s Maclean Office; however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.

• Target questions - answer the target questions - maximum 300 words each question
1. Please describe your qualifications and experience as a town planner, with a focus on development assessment and your knowledge of the NSW planning system.
2. Can you describe a situation where you had to get cooperation from a person or a group to achieve a positive planning outcome? What did you do to achieve this and what was the result?
3. Tell us about how you efficiently undertake project management for development assessment, including any business improvement initiatives that you have led or contributed.
