At Porous Lane, we create surfaces that infiltrate water, reduce flooding, cool urban spaces, and protect trees. Our sustainable permeable pavement is made from recycled materials and installed in places like footpaths, carparks, and around trees in parks and streets. We work closely with councils and communities to design and deliver practical infrastructure with lasting environmental benefits.

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead based in Sydney to help bring our solutions to more communities across NSW. This is a great opportunity to work with an innovative and fast-growing social enterprise committed to meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across Sydney and NSW, particularly with local councils and government stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the public infrastructure space
Attend industry events and present to prospects to promote Porous Lane’s solutions
Collaborate with our national team to deliver tailored proposals and quotes
Provide input on marketing and product improvements based on client feedback
Represent Porous Lane’s mission and values in all client-facing work
What We’re Looking For
A proactive, self-driven sales professional with a passion for sustainability and innovation
Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, or sales (3+ years preferred)
Existing contacts or experience selling to local councils will be highly regarded
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong organisational and CRM skills (e.g. Pipedrive, Hubspot or similar)
Ability to work independently and manage your own sales pipeline
Alignment with Porous Lane’s values around climate action, equity, and practical sustainability
What We Offer
$80,000 – $90,000 base salary + super + commission. OTE $130,000
