About the company

PERSOL is recruiting on behalf of a respected national organisation in the property maintenance and facilities services sector. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client growth and strategic account expansion across the commercial, government and infrastructure sectors of Sydney.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical part in growing the business through the identification, pursuit and winning of new opportunities, while also contributing to nurturing existing accounts. This is a good opportunity for a pro-active sales professional to work in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities to achieve or exceed sales and margin targets
  • Develop and lead major bid and tender submissions in collaboration with technical and delivery teams
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Deliver client presentations and commercial proposals
  • Lead cross-sell initiatives with internal stakeholders across service lines
  • Support marketing and territory growth strategies at a regional level
  • Oversee pricing, quoting and project estimation in line with internal guidelines
  • Support onboarding and mentorship of junior sales team members

Role requirements

  • 2+ years success in business development, sales or account management within maintenance, construction or property services
  • Experience in the property services, facilities management or maintenance sector preferred
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and client engagement skills
  • Experience developing tenders, bids or proposals
  • Commercial awareness around margin, pricing and risk management
  • Confidence working with internal stakeholders including operations, finance, and estimating
