Business Development Manager – NSW

Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) NSW will play a key role in driving commercial growth across the state, with a focus on specification sales through architects, designers, developers, and builders. This role is responsible for delivering the commercial sales strategy within NSW and contributing to the broader development of our national commercial business strategy.
We are seeking a high-performing individual who is already active in the sanitary/tapware market and brings with them established industry relationships that can be leveraged for immediate sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Pipeline Development
Drive new business acquisition and grow commercial sales revenue across the NSW region.
Proactively identify, engage, and convert opportunities with architects, interior designers, developers, and builders.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of commercial specification projects and track them through to order conversion.
Relationship Management
Leverage existing relationships and foster new ones with key decision-makers in the A\&D and construction community.
Represent Nero Tapware in client meetings, events, and trade-related functions to raise brand awareness and product interest.
Represent Nero Tapware at industry events as required
Commercial Strategy Execution
Work collaboratively with the NSW State Manager and National Sales Manager to execute the commercial sales strategy for the state.
Provide strategic input into the development and refinement of Nero Tapware’s broader commercial strategy.
Report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help shape future direction.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Sales Support to ensure smooth project execution and post-sale service.
Ensure the accurate and timely use of CRM systems to log project activity, pipeline progress, and customer engagement.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years of business development or sales experience in the sanitaryware or tapware industry.
Established network of contacts in the architecture, design, building, and developer community within NSW.
Strong understanding of the specification process, tendering, and project conversion in commercial and residential developments.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive in managing time and territory.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
Based in Sydney, with the ability to travel locally across NSW as required.
Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
