An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation that delivers high-quality electronics, automation, and technical training solutions into the education sector and beyond.

About the Role

This external sales position will see you managing and growing accounts across Melbourne and the greater Victoria region. You'll be providing advanced technology products and training systems into TAFE's as well as expanding reach into the industrial and commercial training sectors and manufacturers like switchboard builders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the Victorian territory

Sell technical training systems, educational tools, and electronic test equipment

Build strong relationships with TAFE educators, department heads, and procurement teams

Identify new market opportunities in the vocational and STEM education sectors

Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical advice where needed

Work closely with internal technical and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction

Attend relevant industry events, expos, and education trade shows

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a BDM, territory manager, or technical sales role

Electrical trade background highly regarded

A background in selling to the education or electronics/automation sectors is highly desirable

Confidence in engaging with educational institutions and senior stakeholders

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to self-manage and work autonomously across the territory

Knowledge of technical products such as oscilloscopes, mechatronics, robotics, or teaching labs is a big advantage

What’s on Offer

Base salary $90k - $110k

Super at 12%

Car allowance + Fuel card

Bonus structure

OTE $130k - $150k
