Pathfinder Recruitment is excited to bring to market a great opportunity for a dynamic Account Manager/ BDM to join a Central Coast based MSP. This company provides innovative managed IT services tailored to small and mid-market businesses, their mission is to help businesses thrive by delivering exceptional IT solutions that drive success. If you are a highly motivated, client-focused Account Manager / Business Development Manager (AM/BDM), this role will see you play a crucial role in nurturing existing client relationships and driving new business opportunities.
About the role:
This hybrid role combines Account Management (80%) and Business Development (20%) responsibilities. The primary focus will be on maintaining and growing existing client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and account growth, while also identifying and securing new business opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic growth objectives. As the key liaison between clients, prospects, and internal teams, you'll ensure delivery excellence and uncover solutions that add business value.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Account Management (80%):
Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships based on trust and value.
Conduct regular account management meetings and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to ensure client satisfaction and uncover new needs.
Understand client business goals and align IT strategies to support them effectively.
Monitor service delivery performance and proactively address issues to ensure high standards.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base.
Manage agreement renewals and oversee the client contract lifecycle.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date client information in CRM/PSA systems.
Collaborate with technical teams to scope, quote, and deliver tailored IT solutions that meet client needs.
New Business Development (20%):
Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the SMB and mid-market segments.
Build and maintain a small pipeline of qualified leads through referrals, networking, and outbound activity.
Conduct introductory meetings, needs assessments, and present tailored Managed Service Provider (MSP) solutions to prospective clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals for new clients.
Handover won accounts to the onboarding and technical teams for a smooth transition into service delivery.
Key Skills:
Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development, preferably within an IT services or MSP environment.
Strong client relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients at various levels.
Experience in identifying business opportunities and growing client portfolios.
Familiarity with CRM/PSA systems to track and manage client information.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Self-motivated with strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
