Sourcing / Business Development Specialist

A unique opportunity exists for a person to join a strong dynamic team – sourcing a range of interesting products for a host of major Australian companies in a wide range of industries. Reporting to the CEO you will work across all aspects of the supply chain process from sourcing, quoting, sampling and working with the design engineering team on the technical drawings.

The role is exciting & diverse where you will liaise directly with customers building strong relationships – assisting them & solving problems. You will liaise also directly with factories– sourcing new ones as well as working with current factories to supply & manufacture to agreed drawing & briefs and timelines. There is both opportunity for this role to grow & evolve and for you to develop & advance within the company.

To be successful in this role, the applicant would ideally have the following experience /skills:

Supply chain, purchasing or logistics experience, preferably in packaging industry

Sourcing work for a wide range of industries and products

A solid understanding of imports, shipping and logistics

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

The ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment.

Experience with working with factories from China and Alibaba highly beneficial.

Experience with Mandarin also highly beneficial.
