The Opportunity
Step into a pivotal HR role where you’ll directly support employee wellbeing and performance, helping build a healthier, more productive workforce.
You’ll manage a diverse caseload, provide expert advice on rehabilitation and performance issues, and contribute to policies that shape how the department cares for its people.

The Role
Support and manage wellbeing and performance cases with a focus on positive outcomes.
- Provide advice and case management for injury, rehabilitation and performance matters
- Collaborate with business areas to support capability uplift and safe work practices
- Help maintain and improve internal processes and health strategies
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in training to build resilience and navigate complex conversations
- Promote ethical behaviour aligned with APS Values and Code of Conduct
The Ideal Person
You’re a proactive and empathetic case manager with a strong understanding of rehabilitation, performance management or work health and safety.
You bring excellent communication and negotiation skills, and you’re confident making decisions within legislative frameworks.
You thrive building stakeholder relationships and balancing competing priorities with professionalism and sound judgement.
This role suits someone who values collaboration, continuous learning, and making a meaningful difference in employee wellbeing in the public sector.
Salary / Rate
- $89k – $99k + Super
- 12 month non ongoing
- Open to s26 Transfer
- Baseline clearance preferred or the ability to obtain
