About the Role:
The Employee Relations and Injury Management team is responsible for providing employee relations and injury management services, support and advice whilst ensuring the effective and efficient operation of strategic people management advice, policy and programs across Canberra Health Services.
You will play a key role in the team by providing leadership and strategic direction for the team whilst working closely with staff across other areas within People and Culture. The main responsibilities of the role of Director - Employee Relations and Injury Management will be to:
- Scheduling assignments
- Setting priorities, and
- Outlining work methodologies
- Lead and co-ordinate the provision of client-focused and employee relations services and advice
- Develop and interpret employment relations and injury management policies and procedures,
- Coordinate and direct the activities of the employee relations and injury management teams including:
- Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including the Office of Industrial Relations and CMTEDD Injury Management team), demonstrating liaison and communication skills of a high order; and
- Coach, mentor and develop staff including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
