The Opportunity

As a Rehabilitation Case Manager at the APS5 or APS6 level, you’ll support the wellbeing of employees navigating injury, illness or personal challenges. You'll work in a collaborative team that values empathy, structure and getting things done.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in end-to-end case management, build strong relationships across the business, and be part of a broader shift to uplift how the department supports its people. The Role
Provide tailored rehabilitation case management and support for employees across the department.
- Manage injury and illness cases under Comcare and APS frameworks
- Coordinate return-to-work plans and engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver end-to-end case management with care, structure and timeliness
- Monitor and report on progress while supporting sustainable outcomes
The Ideal Person
You’re a caring, outcomes-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. Whether you’re from a government or private background, you bring strong emotional intelligence, people-first thinking and the ability to juggle competing priorities with calm and clarity.
You may have a background in allied health, injury management, case coordination or HR. What sets you apart is your ability to build rapport, support people through challenging periods and keep the process on track.
This is ideal for APS employees looking to act up or step across, and for professionals with transferrable skills keen to move into the public sector.
Salary / Rate
- APS5: $87k – $93k + Super
- APS6: $100k - $111k + Super
- 12 month non-ongoing
- Baseline clearance preferred or the ability to obtain
