As the Administrative Officer in the Wellbeing and Performance team, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting complex employee matters and learn how public sector policies are put into practice.

The Role
Provide coordination and admin support for a high-performing case management team.
- Support the delivery of performance and rehabilitation processes
- Monitor shared mailboxes and triage enquiries to case managers
- Coordinate documentation and appointments for rehabilitation and fitness for duty referrals
- Prepare letters and reports to support wellbeing and performance matters
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Contribute to reporting that provides executive-level visibility of trends and outcomes
- Promote a healthy and safe workplace culture in line with APS Values and Code of Conduct
The Ideal Person
You’ll be a proactive and reliable administrator with a strong sense of empathy and professionalism.
Ideally, you’ll have some exposure to HR or case management work, maybe in injury management, wellbeing, or performance-related areas, but what really sets you apart is your ability to handle sensitive information with care and confidence.
You bring a strong attention to detail, excellent organisation skills, and a calm, solutions-focused approach when things get busy. You enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, can communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
This is a great stepping stone if you’re looking to build a career in HR within the APS.
Salary / Rate
- $79k - $91k + Super
- 6 month non-ongoing
- Baseline clearance preferred or the ability to obtain
