We’re on the hunt for a passionate and technically minded Business Development Manager who understands construction and design, and who is excited by the future of sustainable, efficient, and modern building delivery methods.

Our client is an established and growing force in the off-site construction and modular building space. Their process blends architecture, compliance, and manufacturing into a fully integrated project delivery model — from concept design through to approvals, construction, and on-site installation.

Built on the principles of quality, sustainability, and speed, their projects range from high-end custom homes to commercial developments, education buildings, government infrastructure, and specialist accommodation.

With local manufacturing capabilities and a highly experienced in-house team, this business is helping reshape the future of construction in Australia.

About the Role:

This is a strategic business development role that combines technical knowledge, relationship building, and commercial acumen. You’ll engage with key stakeholders across private and public sectors — including developers, consultants, architects, planners, government departments, and end users.

Your mission: identify new opportunities, nurture long-term client relationships, and convert leads into successful, well-delivered modular building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets

Build and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers

Conduct design and feasibility discussions with clients in early project stages

Navigate compliance processes including planning pathways, approvals, and NCC/BCA requirements

Collaborate with internal teams across design, estimating, and project delivery

Prepare and present proposals, EOIs, and tender submissions

Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities

Maintain an active pipeline of projects, with full CRM and reporting accountability

Who You Are:

A proven sales or business development professional with a background in modular construction, prefabrication, building systems, or design-led construction

Experienced in working with complex projects with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles

Ideally qualified in architecture, building design, construction management, or a related field

A confident communicator with the ability to lead conversations around design, compliance, and project outcomes

Strong understanding of building codes, planning processes, and regulatory environments

Driven, organised, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid, client-facing role
