The Control Systems Technology (CST) Group provides products and services to a range of large and listed corporates across Australia, Canada, Chile and Peru. The Group operates under a distributed model with a centralised Finance team that supports Australian payroll, payments, collections and reporting. Overseas entities provide summary level data that is consolidated into the group reporting.

The Accounting Assistant at CST is responsible for providing day to day operational finance support to our Australian operations. In particular: Payroll processing; payroll SAP job costing; NSW AMEX reconciliations; Service Supplier AP invoice entry; and preparing Work Cover returns and claims. Once established in their role, the Accounting Assistant will also prepare the Payroll Tax returns and Superannuation submissions.

Special attention will be given to candidates who supply a cover letter that covers their payroll experience in detail.

Responsibilities:

• Payroll processing: processing the fortnightly payroll in ELMO, including ensuring all timesheets and leave requests are approved in a timely manner, identifying and following up potential errors with managers, and preparing the payroll reporting pack for sign off and release by the Accounts Manager.
• Payroll accounting: uploading payroll general journals and job costing allocations in SAP.
• NSW AMEX reconciliations: gathering receipts from relevant team members and processing transactions and monthly reconciliation in SAP.
• Service Supplier Accounts Payable invoice entry: gaining the necessary approvals, allocating and posting transactions in SAP.
• Payroll on cost management: preparing the periodic returns for review and lodgement.
• Continuous improvement and teamwork: Investigates issues and proposes solutions, works to improve processes and support peers.

• Cover letter that gives payroll experience details including years spent in payroll.
• Right to work documentation must be supplied with CV.
• 2 years+ experience with Accounts Payable and payroll.
• Degree qualified or sufficient experience.
