East Quarter Group is a family office that invests in a number of industries including real estate and technology. We are a small and tight knit team of 4 people based in Hurstville looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team for around 3 days a week.

Duties

Support in various accounting tasks, including end-to-end Accounts Payable

Provide general administrative support, maintenance of records and organised filing

Collaborate and support across a small team

Liaise with clients and suppliers to resolve queries

Reconciliation across bank accounts, and supplier statements

Assist with end-of-month reporting, including data collation and report preparation

Assist system upgrades or migration initiatives supporting transitions and documentation

Essential Skills and Experience

Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role

Basic accounting knowledge

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook essential)

Experience using Accounting Software essential

Multitasking skills and high attention to detail

Experience working in a small team environment is an advantage

Experience in handling both finance and admin responsibilities

Willingness to support process improvements and system migration

Willingness to take on ad hoc duties

Desirable

Formal qualifications in a related field

Familiarity and experience with Jobpac

Experience in MS Finance
