About the role
Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a rewarding part-time role with a dynamic and growing organisation? The Australian Wagyu Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join their team in Armidale, NSW. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial operations of the association, ensuring accurate reporting and effective financial management practices.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing all aspects of the association's financial accounting and reporting acoss the associations Australian and USA acounts and business
Overseeing all accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and the Board
Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal policies and procedures
Providing financial analysis and advice to support strategic decision-making
Managing banking and investment activities
Supervising and developing the finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in a senior finance role
Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance, and membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or CA)
Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting skills, with a deep understanding of relevant standards and regulations
Proficient in using financial management software and spreadsheet applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide strategic financial insights
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing finance teams
