Qualifications & experience

We are looking for an experienced candidate who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and can show compassion and empathy to all patients.

Must have demonstrated medical receptionist skills within a specialist practice environment, preferably surgical, with knowledge of health fund billing, hospital bookings, Medicare and quoting patients for procedures

Must have demonstrated use of the practice software, Genie

Must have demonstrated ability to work within a busy specialist practice

Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, team members and other stakeholders

Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, with good time management and problem solving skills

Must have an excellent phone manner and be well presented and reliable

Tasks & responsibilities

Assist in managing day to day medical reception duties in a patient-focused medical specialty practice

Work as a team member within the practice to complete administrative duties required to facilitate efficient patient consultations, hospital bookings, quotes & billings using the practice software, Genie

Facilitate booking of patient appointments in accordance with practice guidelines with Genie software

Engage in a healthy workplace culture prioritising showing respect to all patients and team members

Ensure patient safety at all times

Strict adherence to privacy, confidentiality and ethical standards in all dealings with patients and colleagues
