THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established consulting firm that can act as ‘Statutory Building Surveyor/Certifier’ or provide services as a ‘Consulting Building Surveyor/Certifier’. With projects nationwide, our client has earned a reputation as an industry leader in building surveying consultancy.

THE ROLE

Due to recent growth we are looking to employ a cadet to look after residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will start off with some administrative tasks and progress to cadet tasks within 18 months.

DUTIES

1. Building permit application assessments
2. Booking in inspections
3. Building permit amendment assessments;
4. Minor administrative duties where required;
5. Client liaison, satisfaction and meetings;
6. Client permit and compliance queries (phone & email);
7. Enforcement i.e. Direction to fix, building notices, building orders;
8. Building inspections;
9. Coordinating and chairing technical meetings;
10. Reporting to management;

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Completed or almost finished a building surveying degree
• previous building surveying experience preferred but not essential
• A detail oriented person
• Able to be self motivated and autonomous
• Have a stable career history
• Friendly, team oriented
• Able to work closely with clients
