About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager who will focus on developing and growing InfoAgent’s data services business in Australia’s automotive industry. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, connecting and guiding them from initial interest to commitment, and managing stakeholder approvals effectively.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can work remotely to add value and make a significant contribution to InfoAgent’s aggressive revenue growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

Own and drive the complete end-to-end sales process for acquiring new customers.

Proactively engage prospects, manage a sales funnel and follow up sales leads and opportunities to completion.

Navigate complex enterprise, short and long sales cycles, skillfully managing stakeholder approvals and overcoming objections.

Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key decision-makers within the automotive industry.

Report directly to the General Manager and collaborate on the development of effective sales strategies.

Feedback new product ideas, work with marketing to ensure alignment on messaging, and enhance the predictability and consistency of deal closure rates.

Set and monitor prospecting and sales performance indicators to ensure effective execution of business plans, in line with InfoAgent’s business objectives.

Achieve agreed sales targets.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the vehicle data landscape.

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would be self-motivated, customer-focused, enthusiastic, and results-oriented who can work autonomously but also engage with the wider InfoAgent team for support.

Proven experience with remote B2B sales, with a preference for experience in data products or the IT industry.

Proven track record in sales strategy implementation and delivery of results.

Expertise in navigating intricate sales cycles, contract negotiation and effective stakeholder management.

A passion for data and a clear understanding of its application in solving business challenges.

Comfortable and effective working independently in a remote environment while aligning with company objectives.

A reasonable understanding of the automotive industry, vehicles, and the transactions that take place.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
