D. R. Allen & Associates is a Public Accounting and Professional Services Practice based in Ringwood, Victoria. Our Firm has a wide range of clients – covering many business types and industries. We provide services to individuals and small sole traders right up to firms with multi-million dollar turnovers.

Our Team is made up of a group of friendly and dedicated accountants and administration support staff. We take pride in providing the best possible service to our clients. We seek to provide this service by making available to each client the full extent of our professional capabilities in order to meet their varying needs on a timely basis.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administration Assistant. The role will be filled by a full-time permanent employee and is ideal for somebody who is looking for longevity in their next role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Being the "face" of the business by greeting clients with a professional, well-groomed and welcoming presence

Keep reception, meeting rooms and all common areas presentable to a high standard at all times

Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls with a high level of professionalism

Arrange couriers and do daily mail management

General office support duties

Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients

ATO lodgements

Corresponding with clients in regards to any queries they may have

Scanning, filing, archiving

Maintaining the client database

Email management

Scheduling meetings

Following up on any outstanding documentation for clients

Collating tax returns and financials

Managing job flow

TFN/ABN/GST and PAYG applications on behalf of clients

Adhoc administration support for the accountants

Skills & experience:

Previous experience working in an Accounting Firm will be an advantage for this role.

Experience using Sage Handisoft, MYOB and BGL software will be highly regarded, however not essential

Experience with Microsoft Office software including Word and Outlook is essential

Highly personable and mature

Positive and friendly attitude

Reliable, hands-on and energetic about your role

High attention to detail

Ability to prioritise and strong time management skills
