Our clinic has operations in two locations: Benowa, Gold Coast and Tugun, Gold Coast. While the primary location for this position is Benowa, occasional travel to Tugun may be necessary when needed.

About you:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced medical receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in medical administration.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.

Proficiency in computer skills and experience with medical software systems (e.g., Gentu)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.

Ability to efficiently task shift and prioritise tasks in a fast-paces environment.

Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the practice manager to assist in managing day-to-day operations, including opening, and closing procedures, patient management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, always providing excellent customer service.

Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient enquiries and requests.

Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and process necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.

Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulation.

Coordinate with clinical staff and providers to endure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.

Assist with billing and insurance-related tasks, including processing payments and submitting claim to Medicare, DVA and other third-party insurers.

Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.

Using your creativity and experience to create more efficient medical processes and procedures.

Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.

Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information.

Knowledge of Gentu Software (desirable)

Experience with Gentu or similar medical practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Genie, PracSoft)

Current CPR certificate (desirable)

Must have permanent Australian work rights
