Logistics Scheduling Coordinator

A great opportunity to join a progressive company in the rapidly growing water industry. West Coast Poly, based in Canning Vale, is an iconic brand for liquid storage products in the West Australian market. You will be assisting in the smooth flow of product from the company’s modern manufacturing facilities in Canning Vale to private customers and commercial clients throughout the State.

This position will allow you to use your organizational skills and develop your planning ability in a friendly supportive team environment. Liaising with rural and commercial clients, your knowledge of rural Western Australia and the transport industry will be an advantage.

Knowledge of scheduling and computers is a strong advantage; you will be operating a computerized system of scheduling linked to the production system of the company.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

· Co-ordinating delivery drivers & scheduling vehicle maintenance

· Planning loads for the company fleet of 6 - 8T delivery vehicles & trailers

· Review and prepare paperwork associated with deliveries

· Liaising with company drivers and end-users to ensure timelines are met.

· Ensuring the companies OH&S and Quality Management Systems are enforced

· Making decisions based on the best outcome for the business

· Maintain heavy vehicle accreditation compliance

· Optimizing routes and tracking vehicle locations for efficiency

· Direct customer/client contact

· Reporting directly to the General Manager

Applicants must have the following;

· Strong background in logistics and scheduling systems

· Knowledge working with oversize items

· Excellent communication skills

· Have good understanding of roads and tracks throughout WA

· Previous scheduling experience

· Must be able to work as part of a team

· Knowledge of WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation System
