The Position

This role has a very clearly defined objective, which is to achieve 100% deployment of the Mobile Plant fleet. However, like most/all things in life, it's easier said than done. To reach this goal, the position requires a skilled and motivated individual with an existing depth of knowledge pertaining to mining equipment and the Queensland mining market, in general. The main task at hand is getting out in front of potential customers, building relationships, building trust and winning heavy equipment hire opportunities. The company has a well thought-out and effective angle-of-attack already in place. Now there are looking for the right person to continue with this proven model in the ever-expanding Queensland heavy equipment hire market. day to day tasks and duties include-

Time on the road visiting and meeting with new and existing mining customers developing and progressing equipment hire opportunities within the Bowen Basin region.

Conduct Cold-Calling to finding and developing new business and tender opportunities to supply heavy equipment to mining and civil customers.

Travelling out to various sites across the state to deliver sales presentations or attend other sales events.

Working in tightly with upper management to identify and develop sales strategies and then implementing company sales directives.

Provide high-levels of customer service to keep in alignment with the organizations existing high standards.

Identify and provide input when opportunities to develop and enhance current processes are found.

Develop inter-department relationships to enhance delivery of services to customers and ensure all requirements and issues are effectively resolved.

Candidate Requirements

Hire/Sales Representative/BDM experience with earthmoving, construction or mining equipment, Essential.

Strong experience and exposure within the civil construction, mining, Government markets in Queensland, Essential.

Proven experience finding, developing and closing sales opportunities.

Relationships within civil, mining and similar markets highly regarded.

Well-developed interpersonal, sales and negotiation skills.

A proven sales history with a love of the chase! and strong sales-drive.

Long-term relation growth & management skills.

Willingness to travel within the state when required.

Drivers license, Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, Essential.

Remuneration Package on Offer

This is the opportunity to join a dynamic business where you’ll get to work with a highly motivated team with a history of winning. In relation to remuneration, a starting salary of $130,000- $150,000pa, commissions, vehicle, super, laptop, phone etc. OTE $200k+. The position also has the opportunity to work in closely with upper management which comes with its potential for growth and development over time.
