Support the financial operations of one of NSW’s leading cultural institutions by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across revenue and reporting processes.
Competitive remuneration package up to $105,077 p.a. (package includes salary between $84,659 - $92,701 p.a., plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

The Library is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support its financial operations and ensure the integrity of its revenue management. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with financial regulations, safeguarding assets, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to manage accounts receivable, reconcile banking records, and support financial reporting and audits. Your work will help ensure the Library’s financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with best practices.
Some key responsibilities include:
Support accounts receivable, including invoicing, receipting, and journal entries
Assist with cash flow statements and forecasts
Reconcile banking records and maintain internal controls
Process payments from various sources and prepare deposits
Prepare month-end and year-end journals and audit documentation
Support financial services including ordering, invoicing, and ledger reviews
Provide system support and collaborate on ERP-related queries
Ensure compliance with financial procedures and flag risks or inconsistencies
The Ideal Candidate
You’re a reliable and analytical professional with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. You enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and improving processes. You’re comfortable navigating financial systems and collaborating across teams to ensure smooth operations. You bring:
Working knowledge of financial accounting along with sound experience in accounts receivable
Strong reconciliation and data verification skills
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Ability to manage multiple payment types and maintain data integrity
A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
