Following rapid expansion in 2020 and beyond, we’re investing in growing our business development team. We’re seeking a confident, high-energy Sales Development Representative | Business Development Representative to build and qualify a pipeline of new client opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with our existing desk.
Responsibilities:
Execute end-to-end outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn) to senior decision-makers (Partners, HR Managers) at accounting and finance firms.
Research target organisations’ structure, growth trajectory, and hiring needs to tailor a compelling value proposition.
Conduct consultative discovery calls to uncover client pain points, hiring timelines, and budget parameters.
Qualify leads effectively and collaborate with Senior Recruitment Consultants to hand off warm prospects.
Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, next steps, and deal stages in the CRM.
Track weekly KPIs (calls, emails, meetings booked, pipeline value) and report progress to the Business Development Manager.
Attend industry networking events and maintain regular face-to-face meetings with prospective clients when required.
Provide timely market intelligence—salary benchmarks, competitor activity, and practice expansions—to inform our broader recruitment strategy.
Participate in weekly sales training sessions, role-plays, and feedback meetings to continuously refine messaging and outreach scripts.
Requirements
1–2 years of B2B outbound sales experience (SDR/BDR/Inside Sales), preferably within professional services (recruitment, accounting, finance).
Demonstrated ability to make 60–80 outbound calls/emails per day, handle objections, and persistently drive for results.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage C-suite and senior-partner targets.
Strong research and organisational skills—able to quickly build targeted lists and craft personalised outreach.
Resilient, coachable, and hungry to learn—quickly apply feedback to improve conversion rates.
High level of integrity, accountability, and a results-driven mindset.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a genuine interest in the accounting and finance sectors.
