The Position:
- Identify and target new business opportunities across building and construction sectors
- Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed targets
- Generate leads via cold calling, networking, and industry events
- Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demos
- Negotiate and close profitable deals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Stay informed on timber products, industry trends, and competitors
- Offer technical product advice to clients
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports
The Person:
- Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably within the timber, construction, or building materials industry
- Strong understanding of the building and carpentry sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of different timber grades, and treatments is highly advantageous
