The Position:

• Identify and target new business opportunities across building and construction sectors
• Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed targets
• Generate leads via cold calling, networking, and industry events
• Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demos
• Negotiate and close profitable deals
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Provide exceptional customer service and support
• Stay informed on timber products, industry trends, and competitors
• Offer technical product advice to clients
• Maintain accurate sales records and reports

The Person:

• Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably within the timber, construction, or building materials industry
• Strong understanding of the building and carpentry sectors
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Knowledge of different timber grades, and treatments is highly advantageous
