About Fliptease
Fliptease is a WA-based live entertainment company delivering spectacle performance, circus, aerial shows, and immersive experiences. We work across corporate, commercial, and local government events. Our mission is to spread joy and create human connection through live experiences. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for team players who are ready to grow with us.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Costume Coordinator to join our Nedlands-based team. This is a behind-the-scenes role, ideal for someone with experience in behind the scenes live performance support, costumes, and logistics.
You’ll work closely with our Talent Manager to prepare and style costumes, manage pick-up and return schedules, maintain our wardrobe and storage space, and keep our systems up to date. If you enjoy staying organised, getting crafty, and keeping things running smoothly, this could be the role for you.
This is a 6-month position with the possibility of extension. We’re ideally looking for someone who can commit to at least 7 hours per week, usually on Wednesdays. However, we are open to flexible arrangements, such as school hours or splitting the time into two half days. Additional hours will become available during our busy season (October to January) if you wish to take them.
Responsibilities
Prepare, style, and pack costumes and props for events
Track the movements of all items using our sign-in/out system
Keep the digital costume database up to date
Wash, iron, steam, mend, and maintain costume pieces as needed
Organise and communicate pick-up/drop-off times with performers
Run light errands or assist with basic production tasks
Maintain a tidy and functional workspace
Support Fliptease’s values around reducing, reusing, and recycling
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Experience in live event production (theatre, dance, circus, etc.) and/or costuming
Basic to intermediate sewing and mending skills
Excellent time management and logistical skills
Strong attention to detail
Clear communicator with a positive attitude
Able to work independently and comfortably handle routine tasks
Valid driver’s licence and own transport
Desired
Familiarity with Google Drive, Monday.com, or similar tools
Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Success in This Role Looks Like:
Costumes are packed and ready on time, every time.
You know where items are stored and can communicate that confidently.
You maintain accurate records and keep the costume database up to date.
You take initiative, problem-solve, and communicate clearly with the team.
