Omni Recruit is partnering with a well-established logistics provider to source a skilled and detail-focused Wharf - Customer Service Co-ordinator to manage and improve wharf cartage operations across the East Coast.

This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant, and timely movement of Full Container Load (FCL) freight. You’ll provide leadership in administrative processes, foster strong supplier and customer relationships, and collaborate closely with transport and warehouse teams to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Manage Wharf Cartage Operations: Oversee the movement of FCL freight along the East Coast, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.

Drive Administrative Excellence: Supervise a small team, manage job data entry, and implement internal controls to ensure reporting and invoicing accuracy.

Optimise Processes: Identify automation and efficiency opportunities in freight movement, administration, and compliance.

Customer & Supplier Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients and contractors, resolving issues and maintaining strong relationships.

Ensure Compliance: Uphold critical regulations, including Section 77G and Biosecurity standards, with zero tolerance for non-compliance.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in transport operations, logistics administration, or wharf cartage (FCL highly regarded).

Strong understanding of freight regulations and East Coast container operations.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

High-level communication ability with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

Proficiency with TMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong data accuracy mindset.
