ECONO-CRETE IS LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC AND ENERGISED STAFF MEMBER TO OPERATE A DIVISION OF 4 TRUCKS AND 4 PREFAMAX TRAILERS. THIS POSITION WOULD SUIT A TRUCK DRIVER LOOKING TO TRANSITION INTO A MANAGEMENT ROLE.

You will be responsible for:

CORE DUTIES

o Must have HC Licence and Current Drivers Medical and be able to drive a vehicle when needed

o Sales and quoting and new client development

o Hands-on role operationally, small business unit, fill in as required with truck driving

o Responsible for the coordination of equipment and personnel resources to ensure effective and efficient Administrative operations of the business

o Plan and schedule work

o Prepare load restraint plans as required

o Prepare and distribute daily work sheets

o Ensure Daily Hire Dockets are collected at the end of each shift

o Cost Daily Hire Dockets and authorised quotes

o Prepare weekly resource utilisation report

o Develop and Manage small workforce, 4 -6 employees

o Recruit and interview drivers

SAFETY AND TRAINING

Assist wherever possible to ensure the overall health, safety and welfare of all personnel, contractors, and visitors within the workplace

o Actively promote, review, and adhere to the HSE system

o Ensure all work practices are carried out in as safe a manner and always comply with all applicable legislation and Occupational Health Safety and Environmental (OHS&E) policies/procedures, to achieve a zero tolerance of unsafe practices

o Escalate all safety incidents correctly in line with safety escalation process

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND CONTROL

Always comply with all aspects of quality policies and procedures.

Insist that all products or services provided to clients consistently meet the strict quality standards established by the Company.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, LICENCES

Minimum of 3 years experience in the transport or logistics industry

HC Drivers licence

Good knowledge of the chain of responsibility and heavy vehicle regulations

Heavy vehicle load restraint training

Very good customer service & communication skills

DESIRABLE

Pre-cast industry knowledge

Nationally recognised supervisor-level training

Nationally recognised OH&S training

Have high-level competency in computer software (Microsoft Office, MYOB, Transport & Fleet Management, GPS Tracking)
