About the role
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimising the company’s operational performance, with a strong focus on maintaining output to meet the financial demands of the business. This includes leadership and coordination of warehouse operations, project oversight, and effective planning and scheduling of subordinates. The role ensures that business operations are efficient, well-coordinated, and aligned with strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise productivity, safety and cost-effectiveness
Manage and coordinate all operational activities, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation and project management
Lead, motivate and develop a team of operational staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar operations management role, preferably within the construction industry
Experience in managing operations in a growth period
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams
Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and apply insights
Thorough understanding of logistics, supply chain management and operational best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
License & Certification requirements: Working at Heights, High Risk Forklift License & Manual C Class Driver's license minimum
An individual with a strong work ethic, not afraid of high physical work activity
