About Us
Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and enhancing the Botanic Gardens of Sydney, which includes the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, The Domain, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.
About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Event Coordinator to join our team.
Key duties will include:
- Coordinating a range of public and fundraising events, including New Year's Eve Picnic, art exhibitions, workshops, and guided tours
- Supporting event planning, running schedules, volunteer rosters, and logistics
- Liaising with suppliers, staff, volunteers, Botanic Gardens of Sydney and exhibition committees
- Managing event bookings and communications
- Supporting marketing and promotional materials including social media, signage, and printed collateral
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who:
Essential:
- Has several years experience in event delivery (preferably in cultural or environmental sectors)
- Demonstrates strong project coordination and multitasking abilities
- Has experience with CRM systems, reporting and digital tools
- Communicates effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience in not-for-profit organisations or fundraising events
- Familiarity with event ticketing and online platforms
- Experience with exhibition and artwork coordination
