Procurement Coordinator

Our client, a well-established and global organisation in the manufacturing and production sector, is seeking a motivated Procurement Coordinator to join their operations team.

Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, planning, and coordinating procurement activities to support seamless production and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and issue procurement and delivery-related quotes; manage internal approvals and ensure alignment with client and policy requirements.
• Source and assess quotes from multiple vendors; validate stock availability; optimise cost, lead times, and profitability.
• Maintain preferred supplier lists, manage vendor onboarding/offboarding, and address escalations including RMA and warranty claims.
• Monitor delivery timelines, procurement risks, and supply constraints; follow up on delays and ensure resolution.
• Review supplier performance to ensure compliance and responsiveness to changing business needs.
• Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) templates.
• Generate reports on cost savings, vendor performance, turnaround times, and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain accurate MRP records for suppliers and materials.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proactive mindset and a strong foundation in purchasing and supply chain coordination. You're comfortable navigating fast-paced, production-driven environments and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

We're looking for:

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination - preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to manage purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Understanding of inventory control and production planning.
• Background in the Steel industry will be highly regarded
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Production, Warehouse, and Finance teams.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills in deadline-driven environments.
• Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto, or similar), along with advanced Excel and Outlook skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying supply risks and implementing timely solutions.
