If you're an experienced Medical Administrator or Receptionist looking for a long-term role in a supportive team environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Our busy, well-established surgical practice is home to 7 Specialist Surgeons. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care in a professional and compassionate environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and capable Medical Administrator to join our team on a full time basis.

Candidates seeking 4 days per week are also strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a varied and rewarding role ideal for someone with prior medical or surgical administration experience.

Key Responsibilities

Managing incoming phone calls and patient enquiries

Preparing and supporting specialist clinics daily

Patient billing, receipting, and Medicare/EFTPOS processing

Preparing surgical quotes and pre/post-operative instructions

Booking procedures and liaising with hospitals, referrers and GPs

Managing patient correspondence and clinical documents

Following up radiology, imaging and pathology

Providing administrative support to a busy specialist team

What We’re Looking For

✅ Prior experience in specialist medical practice (highly desirable)

✅ Proficiency in medical software. Genie software (highly desirable)

✅ Professional phone manner and excellent interpersonal skills

✅ Strong organisational and multitasking ability

✅ High attention to detail and accurate data entry

✅ Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality

✅ Confident IT skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly
