💼 About the Role

The overall purpose of the Industry Placement Coordinator leads the coordination and administration of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements for Engineering and Built Environment students within the College of Sport, Health and Engineering. The role ensures placements meet accreditation and course requirements, supports strategic industry engagement, and contributes to streamlined placement processes across the College

This is a full time position at an HEP 7, $97,863 - $105,932 per annum plus 17% superannuation, classification working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week over a continuing contract period.

Duties

An example of duties you may perform will include:

Lead the identification and cultivation of partnerships with industry, government, and community organisations that support meaningful Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements across the College

Provide high-level support and advice to academic staff on placement design, simulated WIL activites, and industry engagement activities.

Coordinate the sourcing and allocation of WIL placements for students in the college of Sport, Health and Engineering, ensuring the alignment with accreditation standards and course learning outcomes.

Design, implement and manage streamlined placement processes using University systems (e.g., InPlace), ensuring alignment with VU WIL policies and procedures

Monitor and report on student placement completions, identifying students at risk and recommending mitigation strategies to academic and College leadership

Experience working within the Engineering and Built Environment Industries

An ability to review and refine administrative processes

An ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally.
